Mary Kuruc

Mary Elizabeth Kuruc, 85, of Gillespie, IL, died at Heritage Health of Gillespie, IL on Monday, August 8, 2022.  She was born April 2, 1937, to William Keith & Clara Pettit Keith. 

She married Ronald J. Kuruc on December 20, 1969, in Carlinville, IL. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2021. 

She was a supervisor for the Secretary of State, State Police Division. 

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Carey of Gillespie, IL, Jackie (Pat) McKinney of Gillespie, IL, grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Manley, Lindsay (Matt) Koniak, Justin (Megan) McKinney, Steven Carey, Michael (Steve) Carey, Neil McKinney, Bryce McKinney, great-grandchildren, Aiden Manley, Liam Koniak, Audrey Manley, Chandler McKinney. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Patty Brown, son in law, Kim Carey. 

Friends may call on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm.  Funeral services are Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Kravanya Funeral Home, Gillespie. 

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Gillespie, IL.
