Mary Kuehnel

Mary Beth Kuehnel, 83, of East Alton passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.  She was born October 26, 1932 in Equality, IL to William T. and Myrtle Hannah (Martin) Finn.She married Leroy Kuehnel September 13, 1949 in Piggott, AR; he preceded her in death May 2, 1998.  She worked as Food Director for the East Alton School District 13 for over 25 years retiring in 1991. Mary Beth was a member of the Roxana Church of the Nazarene.She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Gregory G. and Ronna Kuehnel of Bethalto and David Leroy and Linda Kuehnel of East Alton; daughter and son in law; Beverly Ann and Earl Ziegler of  East Alton; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle Beth and Kevin Steiniger, Gregory and Melissa Kuehnel, Philip and Kristin Tate, Christine and Jeff Gibson, Nathan and Amy Ziegler, Tracy and Mike Hard, David Andrew Kuehnel and fiancé Aubrey Watson and Katie and Joey Cuff and fourteen great grandchildren, Morgan, Gregory, Colten Eva, Jake, Joey, Hannah, Jordyn, Megan, Matthew, Mikayla, Sebastian, Jackson and Grace.She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband and two brothers, William E. and Donald Gene Finn.Visitation will be held from 9:30 am. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Roxana Church of the Nazarene.  Burial will follow at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.  Memorials can be made to the Roxana Church of the Nazarene.
