Mary Porter

Mary Alice Porter, 84, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Alton Memorial Hospital.She was born June 8, 1933, in Rockwood, Illinois, the daughter of William and Grace (Martin) Moore.Mary married Charles J. Porter in Marble Hill, Missouri. He preceded her in death in June, 1998.Mary enjoyed Chicago Cubs Baseball, westerns, coloring, and knitting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.Survivors include her children, David Porter of East Alton, Tommy Porter of East Alton, Dian Porter of East Alton, Patty and David Cain of Bethalto, Donna and Keith Linkeman of Hamel; four grandchildren, Jamie and Jeremy Morris, Josh Cain, Jennifer and Will Prante, Keith Jr. and Alyssa Linkeman; five great grandchildren, Matthew, Kolton, Kaiden, Kopper, Kensley; and one sister, Myrtle Meyer of Steelville, Illinois.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017, at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, Illinois.Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.Online condolences can be given at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
