Marshall W. Tudor, 78, formerly of St. Paul, MN and Green Valley, AZ, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born March 16, 1934 in Wood River, he was the son of Hugh and Corabell (Besterfeldt) Tudor.

Mr. Tudor graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was a member of the R.O.T.C. program and went on to serve 10 years in the U.S. Army Reserve. He loved the outdoors, walking, biking and golfing and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. He traveled extensively for work and pleasure. In 1992 he retired as General Manager/VP of the Tape Manufacturing Division for the 3M Corporation.

He is survived by Ann E. (Radcliff) Tudor, his wife of 56 years. Also surviving are four children, Marcia Tudor (David Ledden) of Medway, Mass., Joan Hall (Rodney) of Woodstock, England, Michael Tudor (Brenda) of Elkhart, IN, and Gail Tudor (Dan Petersen) of Hermon, Maine, ten grandchildren, six great grandchild, a brother, Elmo Tudor of Byron, IL, and a sister, Jacqueline Hunn of Florissant, MO.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12:00 noon Saturday, October 20, 2012 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Father Steve Pohlman will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
