Mark Secrease

Mark Secrease, 65, passed away at 1:43 a.m. on Thursday September 7, 2017 at St. Louis University Hospital, MO.He was born on August 25, 1952, in St. Louis, MO. The son of Claude and Rosemary (Gibson) Secrease. Mark married Mary (Tevlin) Secrease on October 20, 1978. Mark worked as a Captain for ACL Commercial Barge Line, and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grafton, IL.  Along with his wife he is survived by his two children Gwenn (Joe Boyd) Secrease, and Eric (Sarah) Secrease; one brother Mike (Pam) Secrease; two sisters; five grandchildren; and father-in-law Leo Tevlin.He is preceded in death by his parents, and mother-in-law Mary Anna Tevlin.Visitation will be held Thursday September 14, 2017 from 4 pm until 7 pm at Elias, Kallal, And Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.Funeral services will be held Friday September 15, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.Burial will take place at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey with military rites provided by the Alton VFW Post 1308.Memorials may be made to American Liver Foundation.Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey is in charge of arrangements.Condolences may be found online at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
