Mark Stephen Kloempken, 72, of Brighton, IL, went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ, on Friday, November 28, 2025.
He was born on August 12, 1953, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Robert and Hazel (Wilson) Kloempken.
Mark married Lynne Brooks, on August 13, 1983, in Florissant, MO. She survives.
He retired from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, as a Law Librarian.
Mark was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River, IL. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Lynne, he is survived by two sons, Bill Kloempken of Brighton, IL and Jared (Tabitha) Kloempken of Moro, IL; four grandchildren, Eli, Owen, Iris, and Amelia Kloempken; three sisters JoAnn (Don) Kowalski, Susan (Terry) Graunke, and Rose (David) Jallits; two brothers, John (Mary) Kloempken and David (Kelly) Kloempken; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm until the time of funeral service at 7 pm on Friday, December 5, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wood River, IL.
