Mark Forgy, 53, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
He was born June 20, 1972 in Alton. Mark enjoyed fishing and sports, particularly St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Dallas Cowboys football.
Survivors include his mother, Laurie (Mitchell) Shewmake of Alton; daughters Kirstin Forgy (Billy Mathis) of Alton, Alexis Forgy (Connor Stranimeier) of Sawyerville; a son, Blake (Krystal) Forgy of East Alton; 3 grandchildren, Kinsley Mathis, Rosalie Forgy, and Kaisen Stranimeier; a sister, Marnie Wright; and brothers, Travis Forgy, Jaimie Forgy, Jackie Dale Forgy, and James Forgy, Jr.
His father, James Forgy, Sr. and his stepfather, James Shewmake both preceded him in death.
