Mark A. Bracht, 67, of Woodburn, IL, passed away on January 17, 2026 at his residence. He was born on July 21, 1958, in Alton Illinois, the son of Louis Bracht and Marion (Bothwell) Bracht.
Mark attended Alton High School, Class of 1976. He spent more than 20 years working at Advance Auto Parts and retired in mid-2025.
Mark enjoyed animals, outdoors, fishing especially with his dear friend Keith and his little grassy friends, bowling, cooking, barbeques, watching the St. Louis Blues and Cardinals, and his grandsons soccer games, and spending time with the people he loved.
Mark is survived by his son, Brendon (Chelsea) Bracht; grandchildren, Bennett and Blakely Bracht; his significant other, Debbie Spurgeon; her children and grandchildren Thomas and Eva Castillo who were dear to him; his sister, Marcia Haun; his brother, Michael (Jane) Bracht; and nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, friends, and his beloved four-legged companions.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Marion Bracht; his daughter, Amy Bracht; brother in law, Eric Haun; and his nephew, Anthony Haun.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
