Mark Wayne Bowers, age 46, of State Park Place, IL, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023. Mark was born on August 23, 1977 in Belleville, IL, a son of Linda (Boyce) Bowers of Edwardsville, IL and the late Mark David Bowers.
Mark will be remembered as a loving, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and a friend to many. Mark never met a stranger and he was always willing got lend a helping hand. He was a jack of all trades, and he could fix or build anything he put his mind to. He enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, fishing, cooking, playing cards, and reading a good book. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Mark loved life, he loved to laugh, but most of all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by his loving children, Jacob (Desiray) Mordis, David Bowers, Anna (Clifton Jenkins Jr.) Bowers, Joselynn Bowers, Andrea Bowers, Tyler Hart, Isabella Bowers, Hailey Bowers and Amarianna Bowers; dear brother, Shawn (Misty) Bowers; proud grandfather to Leanna Miller, Clifton Jenkins III, Grayson Bowers, Tobias Torres, Reneesmae Bowers, Aubrey Phegley and Lazlyn Mordis; extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, a visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Irwin Chapel, Glen Carbon, IL.
Memorial donations may be given to the family. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
