Mark Arnold

Wood River |

Mark Timothy Arnold, 66, of Wood River and formerly of Granite City, Illinois passed away at 12:29 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri.  He was born April 4, 1957, in Sikeston, Missouri, a son of the late Charles and Melba Jean (Roberts) Arnold.  Mark worked as a manager at the Wal-Mart in Wood River and Godfrey locations with over 15 years of service.  He had also served over 30 years of dedicated service at the K-mart in Granite City and had also dabbled with real estate for a few years.  He loved his beloved dogs, Corky and Buddy and loved the outdoors and enjoyed his days of fishing.  Mark loved lighthouses and had a vast collection, he also loved Tweety Bird and was a huge fan of Cher and Lady Gaga.  He loved life and cherished the love and special times shared with his family and friends.  He is survived by three sons, Brad (Tabitha) Arnold of Granite City, Jeff (Amy) Arnold of Chicago and Biran Price of Moncks Corne, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Alexus, Ashten and Madelyn; three siblings, Steve (Carol Barnett) Arnold of Granite City, Sherrie (Rick Jenkins) Williams of Mt. Olive and Brian Arnold of Washington; several nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.  In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road in Granite City on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Sharon Autenrieth officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Arnold family and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.  www.irwinchapel.com
