She married Robert Bryant on December 18, 1953. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1991.

After graduating from Alton High School in 1950, Marj attended Alton Memorial School of Nursing and graduated from there in 1953. She even served on the alumni board as treasurer for several years. She found passion in her work and enjoyed talking about nursing throughout her life. She held many different jobs as a nurse, Alton Memorial Hospital, Eunice Smith Nursing Home, and lastly before retiring she worked as Dr Gordon Moore’s nurse.

Marj didn’t stay retired for long. She found work at H&R Block and as the church secretary at Elm Street Presbyterian Church, where she was a long-time member and held many roles, until its closing. She currently was member of Bethalto Presbyterian Church.

In Marj’s free time she enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband. She attended many many Bible studies and knew the Bible better anyone you would meet. She was very adamant about keeping her mind sharp and boy was she, she did many crossword puzzles and read the Telegraph daily. She also never let a day go by without watching an old western movie or Perry Mason, even if she had seen them all before. Most importantly, Marj loved to spend time with her family and would do anything for them.

She is survived by two daughters, Joy Bryant of Bixby, OK and Bobbi (Jerry) Wray of Godfrey, IL.
