Marjorie Ann White, 96, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital.
Born Aug. 9, 1928 in Butler, IL, she was the daughter of Frank and Lucy (Hopkins) Austin.
She married Niland B. White Oct. 1, 1951 in South Carolina. He passed away May 28, 1974.
A member of Gospel Tabernacle in Godfrey, Marjorie enjoyed babysitting for her great grandchildren and spending time with all her loving family.
She is survived by two daughters, Eva (Robert) Carney and Cathy (David) Stanton, all of Bethalto; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Ron) Martin, Julie (Nick) Brooks, Matt (Cassie) Carney, and Brett (Christine) Carney; ten great grandchildren, Caleb (Torrie) Martin, Caitlyn and Gage Martin, Taylor (Zach) Smith, Nickolas and Nolan Brooks, and Cameron, Jackson, Ryan, and Ellen Carney; and her former son-in-law, Stephen Appelhaus and his wife Barb of St. Louis.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Appelhaus and her brother, Marvin Austin.
Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 4 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 10 a.m. until services begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
