Marjorie Lee (Ursch) Miller, passed away on Thursday morning, September 13, 2018 at her home of 71 years.
She was born in Alton, Illinois the daughter of Victor and Agnes (Herren) Ursch. On April 1, 1943 she married Jack E. Miller at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; he preceded her in death on June 5, 2008.
Marjorie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Ann's Altar Society, the Golden Age Club, and the Mississippi Valley Garden Club. For many years she worked for the Alton School District as a cafeteria worker.
She was survived by 3 sons, Creighton Miller of Michigan, Bruce Miller of Alton, and Tim (Mary Jo) Miller of Belleville, IL; 3 grandsons, Erik Schill, Patrick Miller, and Kevin Miller; a granddaughter, Rachel Miller; two sisters, Carol (Pat) Sawyer and Linda Eisenreich; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; a daughter, Michelle Visel; a grandson, Jon Miller; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Isabel Ursch and Gene and Dottie Ursch; a brother-in-law and sister-in law, Lou and Jean Miller; and a brother-in-law Jim Eisenreich.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday September 19, 2018 at 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 10 am at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton.
