Marjorie L. Kreider, 84, died at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Jersey Nursing & Rehab. In Jerseyville. Born June 30, 1927 in Alton, she was the daughter of Omer and Lucille C. (Cartwright) Wiseman. She was baptized a Presbyterian over 75 years ago and was a member of the College Avenue Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed painting, sewing and loved to dance with her husband. On February 16, 1946 in Aton, she married Cletis Kreider. He survives. Also surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Harry Stockman of St. Louis, MO, a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Patty Kreider of Alton, six grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Kreider of Alton, Matt (Melissa) Tungett of Alton, Katie (Tim) Wieckhorst of Brighton, Claire Stockman of St. Louis, MO, Tessa (Dr. Aston) Goldsworthy of Kansas City, MO, and Brandon Alexander of Kansas City, MO, six great grandchildren, Morgan Ozark, Connor and Addison Wieckhorst, Cole Tungett, and Caiden and Camden Kreider, one sister, Shirley Knipping of Godfrey and a sister-in-law, Kay Kreider of Alton. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2012. Reverend C. Dale Jackson will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the 5A’s Animal Shelter or the Alzheimer’s Association.
