Marina M (Wadeking) Baker, age 53 of Alton, IL, lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer on June 2, 2017. She was born in Alton to Gabriella (Gennari) Wadeking of Fort Wayne IN and Calvin Wadeking of Lakewood, WA on June 4, 1963. Marina enjoyed camping, fishing, crafting and car races. Marina was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting her, she was kind hearted and giving.
Marina will be loved and missed by her family. She leaves behind her mother and father; 3 daughters, Abby (Chris) McKinney of Centralia, WA; Miriam (Adam) Stone- Hemme) of Camp Lejuen, NC, and Bethany Baker of Camp Lejuen, NC;.and a step son Chase Baker of Rockland, CA; 5 sisters Marilena (Mike) Bamford of Bremerton, WA, Nance ( Jim) Eakins of Magalia, CA, Rosie (Dave) Vassar of Roy, WA, Lori (Jason) Simerman of Fort Wayne, IN, and Cathy (Eldon) Smith of Alton, IL, as well as her mother-in-law Carol Baker of Paradise, CA, and brother-in-law Scott Baker of CA, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Phil Baker, her brother, her 4 grandparents, 2 nephews and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 11 a.m. until services begin at 12 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
