She volunteered many years as an EMT, 4-H Leader, at the Carlinville Food Pantry, and many positions in her church.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, crocheting, embroidery, gardening, travel, raising livestock, providing flower arrangements for her church and was active in church and community activities. She sewed dresses for little girls & clothes for little boys for more than seventy years. Her grape pies were treasured at dinners wherever she took them.  She sewed wedding dresses, smocked dresses, baby suits, clothes for every occasion, from formal to play clothes for family and friends. She continually looked for ways to serve others.
