Born on June 16, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, Peggy was the daughter of devoted parents who instilled in her a deep sense of faith and service that would guide her throughout her life. She pursued her education at the Baptist Missionary Training School and later attended Greenville College and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), preparing for a lifelong vocation in education.

She served faithfully as Sunday School Director, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, and Church Secretary – positions through which she shared both her leadership and her love for music and scripture.
Peggy found joy in needlework, reading, collecting bears, and traveling.
