Margaret Potter

Margaret F. Potter, nee Kristan, 79, of Saint Jacob, IL, born Friday, August 2, 1946, in Belleville, IL, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.

Margaret was a dedicated Customer Service Manager at UMB Bank and attended St. James Catholic Church in St. Jacob, IL. An enthusiastic reader and beloved cook, she was particularly known for her cinnamon sugar toast, enchiladas, and exceptional pie crust, all of which reflected her warm and welcoming spirit. Her deep passion for music shone through her piano playing and teaching, as she inspired succeeding generations to appreciate the arts. She loved traveling and hosting family gatherings, creating cherished memories with her loved ones. Through her kind words, support and loving actions, she left a legacy of affection that greatly impacted the relationships of future generations.
