Margaret S. Montel-Cox, 83, of Brighton, went to be with her Lord on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026.
She was born on December 6, 1942, in Wabash, IN, the daughter of the late H. Ray and L. Evelyn (Haupert) Montel.
Margaret retired from BJC, working in the accounts payable department. She was a devout Christian and a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Alton. Margaret enjoyed spending her time working outside in her yard and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two children, Scottie (Kathyn) Cox of Stanwood, MI and Debbie Montel of Alton; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister Shirley Kuhn and several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and sister Beverly Montel.
Visitation will be held from 9 am until the time of funeral service at 11 am on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Heartland Baptist Church in Alton.
A private family burial will be held at Ulrey Memorial Cemetery in Silver Lake, IN, where she will be laid to rest with her parents and sister.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Margarets name may be made to Heartland Batist Church.
