Margaret Cullen

Margaret Cullen, 69, of Belleville, IL, born August 3, 1956, in Yokohama, Japan, died Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Evercare of Lebanon, Lebanon, IL.

Maggie loved fishing and placed in many tournaments over the years. She enjoyed cooking and eating with her friends and family whenever possible. Maggie had one of the biggest hearts and gave unconditionally to the people she knew and loved. She spent most of her life helping others however possible and always had something to give to the people she cared for. She was always willing to help someone out with benefits and donations. Most of the time that meant she was cooking for a pool or dart league, or someone’s anniversary or birthday. Maggie was the kind of person to always make time for others. There will never be another person like her. She is loved dearly and will be missed by so many.

She was preceded in death by parents, Gordon F. and Yoko, nee Yokoi, Cullen; her grandparents, Frank and Opal Cullen; her sister, Susan Cullen; and a brother-in-law, Darwin Shearrer.

Surviving are two sisters, Rita Cullen (Jerry Mouser), and Janet Shearrer; her brother, Joseph Cullen (Jackie); a nephew, Christopher Cullen; three nieces, Tanya Brown, Crystal Brown (Jimmy Buelhorn), and Heather (Bert) Frink; a great-nephew, Zander Frink; loving aunts and uncles; cousins; many dear friends; her cat and best buddy, Stella.
