Margaret Cecilia Sievers, 91, died at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Jersey Community Hospital inJerseyville.She was born on Aug. 12, 1924 in Michael, Il., one of three children born to the late John Louis & Anna Victoria (Smith)Roentz.She was raised in Calhoun County, and married Lawrence Anthony Sievers on Feb. 10, 1942 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Michael, and together they raised their four children and shared 23 years together before his death in August 1965.She was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, and had been employed at Jersey Community Hospital for a short time, and as a Realtor with Rolando Real Estate in Jerseyville, but her main focus was her family and her church.Surviving are her three sons & daughters in law, Lawrence "Larry" and Virginia Sievers of Jerseyville, Ralph & Linda Sievers ofJerseyville, and Lynn Sievers of Godfrey; five grandchildren & their spouses, Laurie & Scott Merle, Julie & Kevin Duggan, Dustin & Jamie Sievers all of Jerseyville, Anna & Nick Thuer of Bunker Hill, and Ralph J. & Anne Sievers of Evansville, IL.; 11 Great Grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Kronable of Meppen.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Margie Sievers; and a brother, John William Roentz.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Crawford Funeral Home where a Rosary will recited at 3:30 p.m.A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father William Hembrow.Burial will be in St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Michael.Memorials may be given to the St. Francis/Holy Ghost Catholic Schools in Jerseyville.
