Margaret Ann Hancock, 81, passed away 7:40 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2017 at her residence.
Born on February 4, 1936 in Palmyra, she was the daughter of Otis and Ruth Maxine (Smay) Relleford.
She had worked 40 years as an inspector and a "B" operator for the Olin Corporation before retiring on February 28, 2001.
Margaret attended Open Door House of Praise Church in Jerseyville; enjoyed gardening and her flowers, especially roses, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
On May 12, 1961 she married, Everett E. Hancock. He died February 18, 2001.
Surviving are a son, Leonard (Monica) Hancock of Wood River; step-son David Hancock; nine grandchildren and four step grandchildren, Kathy, Vickie, Misty, Ty II, Camissa, Ann, Chad, William, Curtis, Lynette, Angie, Melissa and Melanie; nephews, Guy and John Crum; niece Diane Haines; cousins; and numerous friends.
Her parents; husband; son, Ty E. Hancock; and sister, Mary I. Crum preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m until time of service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 14 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Robbie Smay will officiate.
Burial will follow in Gilead Cemetery in Hettick.
