Marcia K. Patton, 76, passed away at 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at her home.
Born Apr. 7, 1941 in Glen Allen, MO, she was a daughter of Wilson and Marie (Cobb) Sitze.
In 1959 she graduated from Wood River High School. She worked at Shell Credit Union from 1959-1973. She then worked for Community Education Credit Union for 25 years until she retired in 1998. For many years she was the treasurer of Pleasant View Church and the Alton Assoc. of General Baptist Churches.
Marcia married David Patton May 1, 1960. He survives in Rosewood Heights. Also surviving are three daughters, Cindy (Anthony) Vaughn of Glen Carbon; Connie Patton of Wood River; and Carrie Patton of Alton; two grandchildren, Keya (Jason) Payton of Granbury, TX and Brandon Wadlow of Edwardsville; and two sisters, Sharon (Dan) Manns of Fosterburg and Fran (Ed) DuBar of Jonesboro, AR.
Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 1 at Paynic Home for Funerals from 10 a.m. until services begin at 12 p.m. Rev. Dan Smith will officiate.
Burial will follow at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.
Memorials may be made to Connect Church, where she was currently a member.
