Marcella D. “Marci” Davis, 59, passed away unexpectedly at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2024 in the Emergency Room at Jersey Community Hospital.
She was born in Alton, Illinois on August 1, 1964, one of five children born to Fred and Freda (Bollmann) Davis.
She enjoyed diamond painting, ghost hunting and loved to bake and was known for her “nearly world famous” cheesecake.
Her dog, Reba, was her loyal and faithful partner in crime and her family held a very special place in her heart. She was the absolute best grandma to her four grandchildren and enjoyed each and every moment she was able to share with them.
Surviving are two daughters and sons in-law, Samantha and Jeffrey Hayes of Jerseyville and Kristina and Matt Brasket of Alton; three grandchildren, Andrew Hayes, Chase Hayes and Brody Brasket; two sisters and a brother in-law, Sherri Stillwall of Jerseyville and Susan and Bill Roe of East Alton; two brothers and sisters in-law, Michael and Debbie Davis of Godfrey and David and Joan Davis of Wisconsin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, William Hayes.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2024 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.
Memorials may be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in care of the funeral home.
