Marcella L. Becker, 85, of Macon, MO, passed away at Loch Haven Nursing Facility on January 9, 2025.
Marcella was born on April 1, 1939, the daughter of Ernest “Spud” Bland and Minnie (Housmann)(Bland) Wanick. Marcella married Jack Becker on January 7, 1956.
She was a housewife, homemaker, and was a member of St. Anselm’s Catholic Church. She later worked at the Kampsville Inn in Kampsville, IL, where everyone there called her “Grandma” and she loved that so much. She was the mother of five children.
Marcella is survived by five children, Larry Becker of Arnold, MO, Mark (Debbie) Becker of Kampsville, Dale (Roberta) Becker of Kampsville, Nanette (Pete) Bachler, of Callao, MO, and Jerri (late husband Willard) Lorsbach of Elk Grove, CA.
She had 9 grandchildren, John, Ray Becker, Cassie Blackwell, Hanna Kamp, Tim Becker, Douglas Godar, Karina Godar, Katie Lorsbach, and Paul Lorsbach.
She had 8 great grandchildren, Zoey, Alanna, and Jack Becker, Jayden and Julia Blackwell, Ada Kamp, Sawyer Becker, and Marcella Godar.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack on February 9, 1998.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Hardin, IL.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. at St. Anselm’s Church in Kampsville, IL.
Burial will follow at St. Anselm’s Cemetery in Kampsville, IL.
