She loved to play dominoes with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. She loved to quilt, do crafts, and was an avid Cardinals fan. She made homemade Christmas ornaments for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was a noble grand of the Rebekah Lodge #263 in Jerseyville and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Jerseyville by participating with the quilting lady’s and the Bazaar. Gertie had 122 descendants and 117 are still living.
