Lyle E. Anderson, 89, of Bella Vista, AR, passed away February 6, 2017 in Alton, IL. Lyle was born December 5, 1927 in Atlantic, Iowa, the son of August and Elizabeth (Christensen) Anderson. He was united in marriage to Corrine Sanny on December 5, 1948 in Atlantic, Iowa. The couple lived in Atlantic then moved to Arvada, Colorado. After retiring they moved to Bella Vista, AR. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, carpentry and antiquing. He really enjoyed trying to find furniture to sell at Corky’s Emporium in Alton, IL. He spent many days hanging out at Corky’s. He loved talking to all the customers. Lyle is survived by his two children, Doug Anderson and his wife Lori of Alton, IL. Darla Haston and her husband Mark of Lenexa, KS. Five grandchildren, Matt and Emily Anderson of Godfrey, IL, Zachary Anderson of Bella Vista, AR, Sarah Anderson of Alton, IL, Jessica and Nick Winston of Prairie Village, KS, and Emily Crafton of Prairie Village, KS, eight grandchildren, Logan, Gage and Bennett Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, Keagan Anderson, Brooks Winston, Avner and Olympia Crafton. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Corrine, brothers, Delbert, Roy, Ralph, Ray, Howard and Larry; sisters, Dora Flathers, Edna Petersen, Viola Turk and Avis Jensen; grandson, Brooks Haston. Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic Iowa. Gent Funeral Home in Alton, IL is in charge of arrangements.
