Lucy H. Jacoby, 95, passed away on August 31, 2026 with family by her side at Jerseyville Community Hospital.
Lucy was born on December 2, 1930 in Alton, IL. to Leroy and Hannah (Blacketer) Coleman.
She married Jacque (Jack) M. Jacoby Sr. on April 6, 1947 in Alton, IL. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2013.
She was a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Alton. She was a former member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was a member of the VFW- Auxiliary Post 1308. She was a daycare provider at St. Frances Day care for 20 years.
Lucy is survived by her children Vicki (Steve) Krummelbein and Jacque “Butch” (Gloria) Jacoby Jr.; eight grandchildren, Kelly (Mark) Lemons, Missy (Jeff) Canno, Allen Groves, Bryon Talia Long) Krummelbein, Michelle Krummelbein, Jacque (Lesa) Jacoby III, Kristina Otwell, Juan Jose Jacoby; siblings, Mary Redman, Dorothy Langley, and Earl Coleman; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, and her daughter, Barbara (Wain) Groves.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm till 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Heartland Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL.
Memorials are suggested to Heartland Baptist Church.
