Lucy C. Runion, 87, went to be with her Lord at 3:00 a.m. on Monday October 29, 2012 at Alton Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
She was born on May 4, 1925, in Bethalto to the late Clayton and Lelia (Robinson) Fast.
She married Benjamin Runion on May 31, 1947 in Bethalto. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1964.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Blackard of East Alton, and Connie Bell of Alton; a son and his wife, Gary and Barb Runion of Godfrey; four grandchildren and spouses, Debbie Lynn Blackard; Dawn and Joshua Ilch, Michele and Patrick Kearbey, and Amy and Wade Barnes; four great-grandchildren, Sarah and Michael Ilch and Chelsea and Caleb Livesay.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two infant twin boys, and infant daughter, Terry Lynn; a sister Helen Rantz; and two brothers, Norman Fast and Clayton Fast.
Visitation will be from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm, Wednesday October 31, 2012 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Pastor David Burman officiating.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials may be to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund.
