Lucille D. Burris Aubin, 98, of Wood River, passed away at 8:44 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville.
Born May 1, 1919 in Caseyville, IL, she was a daughter of Christopher and Clara (Johndrow) Hendricks.
She graduated from Shipman High School in 1936 and married John Paul Burris Apr. 2, 1939. They were blessed with two children, Carol & Mark. He passed away Dec. 24, 1987. She later married Del Aubin, Sr. of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, June 22, 1990. He passed away Nov. 11, 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and son-in-law, Tom and Carol Amburg; four brothers, Harold, Otto, William and Herb Hendricks; three sisters, Clara Wiegand, Helen Archer and Katheryn Niederkorn; two stepsons and a daughter-in-law, Ted and Claudette Aubin and Robert Aubin; half-brother, Guy Hendricks and two half-sisters, Retta Linxwiler and Blanche Jamerson.
She is survived by son, Mark (Cheryl) Burris, of Wood River; one granddaughter and her husband, Susan and John Pearson of Wood River; four grandsons and their wives, Mark Burris Jr. of Edwardsville, Jim and Dana Burris of Wood River, Todd and Kelsy Burris of Glen Carbon, and Bret and Jen Burris of Edwardsville; five great grandsons, Tyler Pearson, Dylan Burris, Blake Burris, Jake Burris and Dean Burris; three great granddaughters, Kelsie Pearson, Brooke Burris and Ellody Burris; step son and two step daughters-in- law, Del and Jane Aubin and Paulette Aubin; ten step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Online guestbook available at www.paynicfh.com. In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. John United Church of Christ in Wood River.
