Louise Vannoy, 97, went to be with the Lord at 9:07 am Thursday, October 27, 2011 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on April 29, 1914 inSpringfield,MO, the daughter of Frank and Maggie (Wright) Ross.
She married Charles L. Vannoy on August 21, 1934 inGreenville,MO.He passed away on January 17, 1977.
Louise graduated from Grenville, MOHigh School. She was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church of Bethalto and she enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling, reading, cooking and was a great mother who loved her family very much.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Dorothy Stickels of Bethalto and Sandi and Frank Kitchen of Monroe, Michigan; five grandchildren and their spouses, Bryant and Mindy Stickels of East Alton, Todd and Linda Stickels of O’Fallon, MO, Mark and Lynn Grummon of Monroe, MI, Jodi and Tim Tucker of Costa Mesa, CA and Scott & Kathy Grummon of Pound Ridge, NY; twelve great grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah, Seth, Noah, Zachary, Jacob, Matt, Michelle, Nick, Elizabeth, Claire and Benjamin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Gertrude and Myrtle Ward.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 am Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel with burial following. A memorial service is being planned at the 1st Christian Church of Bethalto at a later date.
