Louise Sheary

Louise Ann Sheary, 96, passed away from complications of COPD at 8:05 pm on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home.She was born on June 20, 1922 in Mc Gregor, Iowa, the daughter of the late Rev. Homer and Ethel (Miller) Crumb.Louise married Kenneth Sheary on December 24, 1941 in Alton and were happily married for 70 years. He preceded her in death on September 23, 2012.Louise worked as an Art Teacher for Bethalto School District for several years. She was a member of the Bethalto United Methodist Church and several churches prior. Louise was a member of Delta Kappa Gama and enjoyed creating artwork, knitting, creating sculptures and various different art projects. She was a very talented artist.She is survived by her son, David L. Sheary of St. Louis, MO; a daughter, Susan (Sheary) Lewis of Mesa, AZ; a grandson, David Kenneth Lewis of Tempe, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a sister, Harriett Lane.Per her wishes cremation rites were accorded, no services will be held at this time.A private family burial will be held at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens.Memorials may be made to the Bethalto United Methodist Church.Online condolences and guest book may be found at www.eliaskallalandschaaf.com
