Lorraine H. Baker, nee Bilyeu, age 90, of Collinsville, IL, born on March 18, 1926 in Collinsville, IL, died peacefully on September 14, 2016 at Highland Healthcare, Highland, IL.
Lorraine worked at Brooks Canning Factory and Beatrice Foods retiring in 1985. After retiring, Lorraine loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards and working word find books.
She is preceded in death by her grandson, Eric B. Baker; her parents Charles Arthur and Anna Elizabeth, nee Kohnen Bilyeu; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughters, Patricia A. (Richard) Laswell of Maryville, IL, and Connie S. Woodring of Troy, IL; her grandchildren, Julie E. (Dean) Laswell Darnall of O’Fallon, IL, Richard E. Laswell of Troy, IL; Kevin L. Woodring, Jr., of Troy, IL and Kyle M. Woodring of Troy, IL; her great-grandsons Wyatt P. Laswell of O’Fallon, IL and Carter D. Darnall of O’Fallon, IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL with Fr. Ray Schultz officiating. Burial of cremated remains will be in St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Collinsville, IL.
