Lorene (Laurentius) Klobe, 92, of Granite City, IL, passed away Sun. Aug. 26, 2018 at Stearns Nursing & Rehab in Granite City. Lorene was born Dec. 3, 1925 in Old Appleton, MO and resided in Granite City for most of her life.
Lorene dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She worked for over 30 years at Glik?s Department Stores, retiring in her 70?s. She loved to play cards, crochet, and spend time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer in 1987. Also preceding her in death were her sons, Larry ?Tommy?, Mike, and Rick Klobe; her brothers and sister, Frank, Tony, William, and Stella (Walters) Laurentius; and her parents, Henry and Emma (Lee) Laurentius.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Pete) Mushill; granddaughters, Beth (Ben) Bozicevic and Kelly Mushill; grandsons, Kyle Klobe and USAF Tech Sgt. Erik (Kaitlynn) Kobe; her special great-grandsons, Grayson and William Klobe; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
