Lonnie Ray Brown, 71, of Wood River, IL passed away at 6:32 am, Sunday, June 28, 2026 at his residence. He was born on June 5, 1955 in Alton, IL.
He was a welder by trade at National Marine and Owens Brockway. He dedicated many years of his life working and serving at Enjoy Church. He was well known as DJ Rayman to many as he brought music and life to special occasions.
Surviving are his son and daughters, Kristina (Glen) Oertel, Joshua Brown, Deena Brown, and Kayla (Blake) Stanton; grandchildren, Koleden, Willow, Jace, Kaden, McKayla, Molly, Joshlynn, Savanna, Chase, Tayahna, Thijson, Tahlea, Taryn, Trey, Kristopher (Lindsey) and Lauren (Benson); seven great grandchildren; a brother, Tim (Angie) Brown; two sisters, Brenda (Phil) Lee and Toni Brown (Robert Sanders).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Barbara (Balogh) Brown of Wood River, IL.
Memorial visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Gent Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the funeral home.
