Lois Sons

Lois Margaret Sons went to join her Lord and Savior, her beloved mother, and brothers, Milo and Lamont on November 10, 2024 at Villa Rose in Bethalto.

Margaret was the daughter of Fred and Theresa (Sibley) Rose. Margaret loved to read, she liked dogs and traveling. She loved the Lord and her job at Sears.

She attended Calhoun schools and graduated from Wood River High School. She attended the First Family Church of East Alton. She married Franklin Sons on Feb. 3, 1945, and they made their home for many years in Wood River.

Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, father, brothers, husband, nephew Jacob McLean Rose, and numerous friends.

She is survived by her nephews and their wives, Larry and Sherri Rose, Rick and Lynne Rose, nieces Theresa Rose, Tori Rose, Angela Rose-Khandelwal and her husband Madhur Khandelwal; great nephews Milo and Jasper Khandelwal; and special friends Brenda Ray and Tyrus Rome.

Private services will be held, with interment at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
