Lois R. Jenkins, 87, formerly of Worden, passed away at 2:25pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at VIP Manor in Wood River.  She was born on September 18, 1925, in Worden, Illinois the daughter of the late Walter F. and Ruth L. (Kessmann) Loemker.  She married William H. Jenkins Sr. on October 19, 1947, and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1987.  Survivors include four grandchildren and their spouses: Robert "Bob" Chulka of Livingston, Illinois, Lisa and Kenny Webb of Cottage Hills, Illinois, William "Bill" and Wendy White of Hurst, Texas, and Alecia and Gerry Head of Laverne, Oklahoma, eight great grandchildren: Kristin, Amanda, Adam, Zachary, Lauren, Kolen, Allison, Cody, two great - great grandchildren: Benjamin and Ava, two brothers and a sister in law: Thomas Loemker of Staunton, and Keith and Judy Loemker of Edwardsville.

She was formerly employed at Staunton Community Hospital and at St. Elizabeth's Hospital as a registered nurse.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Felicity Chulka, Allison White, two sons: William H. Jenkins Jr., John Jenkins, one sister: Vera Stroud, and three brothers: Walter D. Loemker, Robert Loemker, and Gerald Loemker.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.  Memorial services will be held at 11am on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden.  Pastor H.R. Curtis will officiate.  Private inurnment will be at Worden Cemetery in Worden, Illinois.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
