Lois M. Summers, age 96 passed away, Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 3:50 a.m. at
Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.
She was born in Winchester, IL on May 15, 1916, daughter of the late, Gilford & Kathryn (Kirkpatrick) Wisdom.
She married Floyd E. Summers on August 31, 1963. He survives.
Lois retired from Owens Illinois Glassworks. She was a member of Main St. Methodist Church in Alton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her children, Gayle and Larry Hausman of Godfrey, Jack & Sharon Heflin of Bethalto Donna Sasek of Bethalto, Gary and Michele Heflin of Edwardsville, Lloyd and Roberta Heflin of Medora, three sisters, Kathleen Wisdom of Godfrey, Irene Hagen of Jerseyville and Vivian Westoff of Bethalto and several grand and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, Tracy Panyik and three sisters, Edna Keebler, Lillian Hay and Alberta Catlett.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Pastor Jamie Hahs officiating.
Burial will be held at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the Main St. Methodist Church in Alton.
