Lloyd F. Waltrip, 97, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 in Mesa, AZ.
Born on December 25, 1916 in Wrights, he was the son of Luke and Mary (Johnson) Waltrip.
Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy from 1938 to 1961. He traveled the world during his enlistment and enjoyed reminiscing about his adventures with family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Vicky (Craig) McCann; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and nine step-children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Betty Ullrich Waltrip, Gladys Leonard Waltrip; daughter, Beatrice Ann Nagel; and brother, Norman Leo Waltrip.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 18 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Michael Southcombe will officiate.
Burial will follow in Upper Alton Cemetery.
