Lisa Michelle Cook, age 63, of Troy, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL. Lisa was born on February 1, 1960, in New Albany, IN.
On November 6, 2014, Lisa married David G. Cook, the love of her life in Edwardsville, IL. Lisa was a member of Bethel Church in Troy, IL. She was a talented musician who enjoyed playing the piano. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, facetiming with her daughter and enjoying her granddaughter. Lisa loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and a dear friend. Lisa will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lisa is survived by her devoted husband, David Cook of Troy, IL; loving daughter Sarah Freeman of Godfrey, IL; Sarah’s father Scott Freeman of Troy, IL; dear stepchildren, Rindy (Michael) Fisk of Edwardsville, IL and Gregory Cook of Madison, IL; dear brothers, Chuck (Cheryl) Jordan of St. Jacob, IL and Tim (Pam) Jordan of Highland, IL; proud grandmother to Azriel Fisk; nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Lisa was also blessed with a biological family including the following: Her mother, Sandy McClain; her sister Rhonda (Jeff) Bunch, her brother Dale (Susan) Williams and nieces and nephews.
Lisa is preceded in death by her Father Charlie Jordan; Mother Paula (Pat) Jordan; Grandfather Otto Jordan; Grandmother Jewel Jordan; sisters Julia Ann Jordan and Becky Churchman.
In celebration of her life, a visitation will be held from 9:30am-10:00am for family, 10:00am- 11:00am for friends on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Bethel Church, Troy, IL. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am at the church, with Pastor Tim Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Frieden’s Cemetery in Troy, IL following the funeral.
