Linda Floyd

Linda Suellen Floyd, 65 died at 6:32 a.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Integrity of Wood River.  She was born January 5, 1952 in Fort Riley, Kansas the daughter of the late James H. and Margaret L. (Hazen) Troy.  She retired as a nurse.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.  Linda enjoyed her grandchildren, friends and faith and loved animals and bird watching.  On May 9, 1970, in Alton she married Lewis H. White Jr.  and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1980.  Surviving are four daughters, Lori Sadler (Karl) of Alton, Alaina Russel (Chris) of Godfrey, Amanda White of Mt. Olive and Elizabeth Floyd of Mt. Olive, 11 grandchildren, one sister, Elaine Willard (Don) of Alton.  She was preceded in death by one brother, James A. Troy.  Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home Alton with Reverend Andre’ Dobson officiating.  Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Alton.  Additional information and online guest book may be found at www.gentfuneralhome.com
