Linda Smith

Linda Dianne Smith, 72, passed away July 13, 2018 while visiting in Lakewood, Washington. Born May 16, 1946 in Salida, CO, she was the daughter of Donald and Laura Smith. Linda worked as a registered nurse  at area facilities before retiring from Alton Mental Health and Rehabilitation Center. She enjoyed traveling to and from Illinois to Nebraska and Washington.  She was a great friend to many; a great sister to her five siblings; a fabulous mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family and career as well as volunteering countless hours for "Meals on Wheels". Linda loved her anmals and was an avid "Farmville" player on Facebook. She is survived by a daughter, Michaela (Walter) Tolliver of Lakewood, WA; son Joshua (Linda M.) Smith of Cottage Hills; brothers, Larry and Don; sisters, Martha and Carol; grandchildren, Tamara and Michael Tolliver, Rileigh and McKenzie Smith.  Her parents and a brother, Kelly Smith preceded in death. Cremation rites were accorded per her wishes. Memorials may be made to Alton Senior Services Plus - Meals on Wheels. Marks Mortuary in charge of local arrangements.
