Linda Lou Blanton, 85 of Scottville passed away Friday, July 24th, at Jacksonville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on November 24, 1940, in Hitchins, KY, to Ralph and Agnes Burton. She married Clarence (Chuck) Blanton on August 6, 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph & Agnes, Husband Clarence, Siblings Wilma, Freida, Jim, & Johnny.
Surviving are her sons Jeff (Rhonda Jo) of Scottville, Richard (Jennifer) of Jacksonville, David (Ann) of Carrolton, Chris (Brandi) of Winchester, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one great, great grandchild.
She was a devout Christian and was a supporter of Sandy Creek Baptist Association. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Palmyra Ill. She was a great Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, & Great-Great-Grandmother.
Her family will be hosting a celebration of her life at 1 pm, Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Grace Baptist Church in Palmyra. Memorials are requested to the church. Please leave a memory or condolence at shields-bishopfh.com.
