Lillie Foust

Lillie Evelyn Foust, 93, passed away at 7:10 pm on Saturday November 11, 2017 at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on March 5, 1924, the daughter of the late Frank and Oena (Kaufman) Whyte.She married Marvin Dale Foust on March 21, 1959 in Robinson, IL. He preceded her in death in 1973.Evelyn enjoyed quilting and cooking, having won first place in Jersey Country Fair’s Culinary Division in both 1967 and 68.  In the 1980’s she went back to school and received her LPN Certification. She is survived by a son Kevin and his wife Ruth Foust of Riverside, CA; two step grandchildren Merce and Felip Gerdes; one sister Connie Rain of Alton, IL.In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers David, Paul, and Adolf Whyte.Visitation will be on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton from 5 pm until 7 pm with services immediately following.A private family burial will be held at Upper Alton Cemetery at a later date.Memorial may be made to Operation Blessing (18 E.
