Lester Fudge Sr., 72, passed away at 11:19 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Bria of Godfrey. He was born June 15, 1953 in St. Louis, MO the son of the late Arthur and Josephine (Blume) Fudge.
Lester worked for many years as a diesel mechanic and also drove semi-trucks, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. On June 26, 2023 in Alton, he married Nancy Syfert and she survives.
Also surviving are his children: Chrissy (Dave) Snyder of Farmington, MO; Jen (Eric) Peterson of Gardner, KS, Scott (Megan) Fudge of Jerseyville, IL, Lester Fudge Jr. (Tammy) of Wilsonville, IL. and Brian (Michelle) Fudge of Granite City, IL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, one great grandchild, three brothers, Eddie, Mike and Arthur Jr., along with many nieces, nephews, step children, step grandchildren, and step great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two children who died in infancy, as well as four sisters and two brothers.
Lester will be remembered for his hard work, his dedication to his family, and the many lives he touched throughout the years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cremation rites were accorded. Gent Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
