Leslie “Les” DeWayne Chandler, 68, of Granite City, IL, died at 3:36 p.m. Mon. Nov. 3, 2025 at his home.
He was born Oct. 28, 1957 in Granite City to the late Charles Les and Helen B. (Proffer) Chandler.
On Aug. 16, 1980, he and Susan G. Larkins were married in St. Louis, MO. She preceded him in death Feb. 23, 2021.
Les was a lifelong carpenter and retired from the union. He was a member of Calvary Life Church and loved to fish. His favorite pastime was being a grandpa and making memories with his family.
He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Sipes, a son, Brian Chandler, 3 grandchildren: Spencer, Ava, and Brandon, a sister, Nancy Carol Norton, a brother, John (Sandy) Chandler, and a brother-in-law, Clarence Barthelemy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Barthelemy, and 3 brothers: Jeff, and Mike Chandler, and Don Hahs.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:30 a.m. Sat. Nov. 8, 2025 at Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery on Maryville Rd.
