Leora Bradley

Leora S. “Sis” Bradley, 90, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton. Born February 15, 1923, she was the daughter of Lindsay and Bertha (Brookman) Maynard.

Mrs. Bradley was a homemaker and a longtime, active member of the North Alton Southern Baptist Church. On December 24, 1940 she married John A. Bradley. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2013. Surviving are four children, Rita Frankford (Edward) of Godfrey, Bob Bradley (Fran) of Everett, WA, Mike Bradley (Carolyn) of Godfrey, and Cheri Westbrook (Jim) of Godfrey; eight grandchildren, Debra McGinnis, Jeffrey Frankford, Christine Rohrbach, Carrie Morrill, John Hughson, Curt Bradley, Cullen Bradley, and Chad Bradley; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous step grandkids. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Frankford, and two brothers, Vernon and Marion “Bud” Maynard.

Private graveside services will be held at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Reverend Sonny Renken will officiate. Memorials may be made to the North Alton Southern Baptist Church.
