Lela Mae Wilson of Alton, age 89, was born on July 30, 1927, and went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Sage and Beulah Warner Carter, husband, Lloyd H. Wilson, son, Ronald L. Wilson, daughter-in-law, Nancy Rohlfing Wilson, seven brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay (Vic) Bledsoe, of Woodstock, Georgia and son, Lonnie (Connie) Wilson, of Alton, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Dr. Vic Bledsoe will officiate. There will be a private interment at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, IL. Memorials may be made to OSF Saint Anthony’s Hospice.
