Lela J. Groves, 67, of Jerseyville, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
Lela was born on June 9, 1952 in Huntington Beach, CA, a daughter of Leonard Cottingham and Delores Branham Holland. On December 29, 1970 she married Denver Groves in Jerseyville, IL.
She worked at Dollar General and Boyd Hospital in Carrollton for many years. Lela enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She liked playing cards, listening to music, and going dancing with her husband, Denver.
Lela is survived by her husband, Denver Groves of Jerseyville, IL; two children, Kim Darabcsek (Ed) of Grafton, IL and Jeff Groves of Alton, IL; two grandchildren, R.J. Darabcsek and Jackson Darabcsek; her mother, Delores Holland and a sister, Arvella Noel of Shipman, IL.
Per her wishes, cremation rights will be accorded.
