Lela F. Ditto, 78, passed away at 12:20 am, Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Eunice Smith Home.
She was born in Herrin, IL on September 9, 1934 the daughter of the late Lloyd and Clara Mae (Engler) Carter.
She married Donald Ditto. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Lela lived in Godfrey, where she was a housewife who owned and operated Lee’s Yesteryear Store in North Alton for 12 years.
She is survived by one son and his spouse, Bruce and Terri Ditto of Godfrey; one granddaughter, Valarie Ditto of Greensboro, NC; two step-granddaughters and their spouses, Tami and Joe Snyders and Robyn and Jimmy Schultz; and one step-grandson, Tommy and Sharon Ennis; and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; one son, Greg Ditto; and one brother, Ray Boy Carter.
Graveside Service will be at 2 pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, IL with Rev. Dale Jackson officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Neuropathy Association.
